Perforating
980-156-20 has become the principle lubricant for major European metal perforating companies and is the ideal replacement for oil in perforating mild steel and stainless steel.
When perforating metals such as stainless steel, the punches and sheet generate large amounts of heat. With oil based products the lubricant thins down with this heat and in some cases even will start to smoke, thus reducing the lubrication performance.
980-156-20 suffers from none of these issues, it reduces abrasive wear and removes heat from the tooling and sheet. The reduced temperature, provides better lubrication during high speed perforating runs.
156-20 will perforate wide sheet stainless up to 3mm in thickness at stroke rates of 300/400 BPM and narrow light stainless coil on high speed presses at 700/800 BPM.
Pressing
980-156-20 is a more powerful version of 101 and is ideal for drawing, punching, forming and heavy duty blanking.
An ideal lubricant for abrasive applications, such as progression blanking and forming operations. Suitable for mild steel and stainless steel.
Applied in a thin film it will replace viscous oils in very demanding applications.
Offers very good properties in delaying abrasive wear, in high speed punching and blanking. Outperforms oils where high temperatures are produced by the tooling process, particularly stainless steel.
